Daniel Trapp is a visual effects generalist artist and filmmaker. With a film & animation degree he started to work as a storyboard artist for music videos and commercials, then, as a 3D artist in industrial design studios and advertising agencies in Budapest, Hungary.
Passionately interested in filming for the big screen, he attended ELTE’s film directing and cinematography courses in Budapest, meanwhile grounding his storytelling skills in drama and screenwriting techniques that he applies to visual storytelling and to all of his works.
From 2019 he continued to be working as a freelancer. He has contributed to national TV shows, like ZDF & History Channel, several marketing & promotional films, feature films, music videos, short films and TV commercials.
His skill set consists of storyboarding, screenwriting – drama & story development, directing, concepting – both with traditional and digital techniques, 3D modeling, texturing, matte painting set extensions, environment creation and photoreal 3D animation. In his works there are also key elements of using drone footage, 3D photogrammetry, and matchmoving.
He mostly spends time between independent film projects, his personal works and supervising and executing creative video contents for all kinds of mediums.
